For their annual Gender Balance Index, the Official Monetary and Financial institutions Forum (OMFIF) score institutions based on gender balance among senior staff in leading financial institutions. The 2022 Gender Balance Index reveals gradual but not fundamental progress in the representation of women in the upper echelons of global finance. The Swiss-UK bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) entered into force on 1 January 2021 after existing agreements were rolled over to avoid a cliff-edge situation after Brexit. The trade agreement provides for duty-free bilateral trade in industrial goods and for a partial liberalization of trade in processed agricultural products. Now, however, it is time for a modernisation of the bilateral FTA that allows us to expand the agreement to new areas of trade.
